Humans are a funny bunch. We're very easily swayed by own brains - even when all the evidence points to going the other way. This is know as cognitive bias.

Cognitive bias is a mistake we make in reasoning, evaluating or remembering something. It directly impacts how we make decisions and explains why sometimes the most logical person can make a bad call.

But the good news is because everyone experiences it it's relatively easy to account for. The rules to a greater or lesser extent apply to everyone. That means you can take informed steps to offset - or even take advantage of - cognitive bias when planning your marketing.
