Unlike a lot of the other approaches we advocate, engagement marketing is a strategy. That means when you get it right it leads to some pretty awesome results for your business.
What makes engagement marketing so gangsta is it's based on psycho-graphics. Or - to put it another way - understanding your customer and making a much deeper connection with them.
Engagement marketing uses methodologies like lifecycle marketing to engage with prospects and clients on a long term basis.
The idea behind it is simple - the more value you add through engagement marketing the more informed your audience becomes. And informed audience makes decisions supported by the wisdom you have imparted through your content.
If you're serving the right content and you're tracking what your audience engages with you can tailor your communications. This means your prospects and clients get more of what they find useful.
This is really important. Your audience receive content based on their behaviour.
This also makes it way easier to sell to them too. Because engagement marketing is so targeted in its approach you're able to offer your prospect what they want. As opposed to what you think they need which usually translates to - what you want to sell them.
The up shot is you get the right customers for your business. The ones who see the value in what you do and are happy to pay to get it. That leads to better ROI, better profits and none of the misery.
That makes for a very happy business.
Engagement marketing has the power to drive all the other aspects of your marketing. It connects all the methods and tools and makes your marketing machine purr. Providing you get it right of course.
